The fully automated system for the gas filling, assembly, and surface pressing of insulated glass sheets. The tried-and-tested system for filling the sealed chambers via the bottom edge ensures that gas filling is carried out without any turbulence whatsoever. The principle of creating “Separate Chambers” developed by LiSEC enables precise positioning of the movable sealing strip according to the length of the glass sheet and therefore makes exact dosage of volume possible avoiding major gas losses. An upstream measurement zone directs the measurement data to the gas-filling press. Using its spindle drive mechanism, the press adjusts itself to match the values measured and presses the sheets to the correct dimensions. In addition, the measuring zone calculates the volume of the unit, which allows the gas volume to be pre-dosed, thus efficiently optimizing gas consumption. For this purpose, the gas mixture ratio can be set precisely.
