LiSEC presented a worldwide one of a kind: a more than 3 meter tall encapsuled glass-glass PV-module

From February 22 to 24 Shanghai hosted the largest and most important solar/photovoltaic show S.N.E.C. 2011 for Asia, Southeast Asia resp. for the entire Austrialian/Pacific region. In the modern Shanghai Exhibition Center 1.818 exhibitors from 90 nations presented their products on 150.000 m² floor space to approx. 180.000 international visitors. In the solar field Shanghai is not only the hub for international trading with the Far East but especially the business center for the Chinese economy which is steadily growing for years.

The enormous potential of this gigantic country in the glass resp. solar/PV field was the motive for LiSEC to introduce their trend-setting technological innovations for a new generation of encapsuled glass/glass PV-modules using 1,9 mm thin glass. The echo was immense. On all 3 days of the show the members of the LiSEC project management and sales team were full time busy to demonstrate the unrivalled advantages of the LiSEC concepts for solar glass production and fully automatic PV-module assembling to the overwhelming crowd of visitors. For example, the production of a more than 3 meter tall encapsuled glass/glass PV-module (like the one exhibited) is only possible in the new LiSEC laminator.

The Chinese solar market requires huge capacities and after this successful product presentation the interest in the innovative know-how from Seitenstetten is very high. In addition LiSEC has an excellent reputation in the Chinese glass field. For decades the group runs a large scale factory in the Shanghai industry area of Qingpu. Many high-rise buildings of the impressive modern skyline of Shanghai are equipped with insulating glass made by LiSEC Shanghai.
