GLASSTEC 2008: RECORD TURNOVER FOR LISEC

Despite financial crises, stock exchange crash and tensed economical situation all over the world the marketleader from Seitenstetten receives an all time record order volume.

On a 2600 sqm exhibition space Lisec presented to the international top-managers (55.000 visitors from 48 nations) a complete interlinked production/processing plant, the core of which was a new dynamic sorting system. Supplied by a fully automatic glass cutting line the transport shuttles, which moved at highes speeds of up to 300 m/min, fed the glass sheets into the sorting module resp. into the automatic insulating glass production line and/or the waterjet-cutting and edge-working center. This specially designed processing line produced glass doors in cycles of a minute. The perfect function of the high-tech equipment was presented by daily live-demonstrations at which the interest of the public was so great that the crowds of visitors hardly found enough space despite the generous lay-out of the Lisec stand.

For Lisec this year’s leading international exhibition was successful like never before. The fully operative installation of a totally interlinked and fully automatically working manufacturing plant (33 trucks were necessary to transport the machines to Düsseldorf) within the short move-in time underlined the enormous potential of Lisec and convinced the public. This resulted into an all time record of number of orders which were placed during the event. Even many new customers signed highly endowed contracts on site.

The machine set-up was also a perfect platform for Lisec Software to present its „auto-fab“ production control system as well as additional software solutions. With the headline „Machines and Software – Components that Work Together“ Lisec emphasized its status as a provider of complete solutions for the glass industry.

Like in the past years Lisec invited selected attendants of the show to visit its Austrian premises by chartered jet liners in order to give them a complete view about Lisec and their high-tech products. At the Seitenstetten plant the participants could see latest state-of-the-art production equipment like welding robots, CNC-milling/cutting technique, complete steel-working-centers with laser cutting technology, fully automatic high bay warehouses and a lot more. In the huge halls they could also see the professional assembling of the machine components at highly specialized levels and the outstandingly high quality of the Lisec products and services. Besides the machine production and R&D technology center in Seitenstetten the visitors were also guided through Lisec’s own i.g. production and glass processing factory in Hausmening with its wide range of machinery and latest novelties. Especially the flat-bed tempering plant (for which Lisec received the Austrian Innovation Award) and the new laminated glass production line was the center of interest. Tempered thin glass with perfect planity is a.o. used for extra thin laminated glass which opens new horizons of applicabilities, e.g. in the sector of solar glass panels with thin film coating

Everybody who visited the facilities in Austria could see that, unlike other competitors, Lisec produces all machines and plants on its own in the Seitenstetten plant and that only Lisec runs its own research and development center which constantly creates new technologies. Also it was obvious to all the visitors of the show and the Austrian premises that Lisec is a strong and worldwide established group of companies with a healthy financial foundation which proves that Lisec is a reliable and appreciated partner even in periods of economical turbulences.
