On October 20 in 1961 the Company Glastechnische Industrie PETER LISEC was founded by Mr. Peter Lisec as a one man business. Even at that early stage own ideas were realized although the production range was quite small. The main performances were the bending and forming of acrylic glass, mirror manufacturing and glass edging. Continuously the firm was increased and |

1966 the manfacturing of insulating glass units was started. During all these days some small machinery and devices providing technical aid to produce the above mentioned products were developed and made according to own Know-How. This was the nucleus of the high technology machine production of today. |

1968 the technology of the relatively new product "insulating glass" has progressed so far that the Company created its own patented system with own trade name. Research and development of rational manufacturing methods proved to be the basis of today's machine production. |

1971 Mr. Lisec employed 40 persons who made insulating glass units as well as machinery for insulating glass production which found international customers already at that stage. The machine department was rather tiny compared to the current dimensions. |

1976 the Chamber of Commerce granted Lisec to use the Austrian State Crest because of its remarkable commercial success. |

1978 the Company has grown-up to 150 employees, who, beside of the insulating glass department, developed and produced considerable numbers of machines and plants for automated i.g. manufacturing using the experience from the own glass shop. A hard battle for shares of the market in the machinery field against old-established foreign competitors required some extensive investments. A second production facility was built to enable the spread-out of the machine department to approx. 20.000 sqm. Since then the machine production dominates; just about 10 % of the total turnover is contributed by the glass processing. |

1989 Mr. Peter Lisec is awarded the title "Kommerzialrat" for his exemplary performance in setting-up this Company and his farsighted commercial strategy. By continuous completion of the product range Lisec becomes the only supplier being able to offer all equipment for i.g. production and so advances to the position of the worldwide market leader. The export rate climbs up to 98 % and the Company comprises approx. 450 employees. |

1993 the continuously increasing demand in Lisec high-tech machinery requires the foundation of Lisec Maschinenbau GmbH in Seitenstetten where more than 300 persons are manu-facturing the entire machinery range in a production area of approx. 27.000 sqm; thus leaving sufficient space for extending the insulating glass production, the research and development department and the entire administration at the Hausmening site.

1995 the so far integrated software department becomes an associated subsidiary called Lisec Software GmbH and is moved into a separate facility at the Hausmening site. It provides specially developed programs like networks for administration and machinery up to complete production control systems. |

1998 the research and development department and all the highly qualified experts in technical construction and electronic design moves to the Seitenstetten plant and becomes an associated subsidiary called Inova - Lisec Technologiezentrum GmbH. |

1999 starts the continuous expansion of the Lisec Group of Companies, which up to now comprised 4 companies, by founding subsidiary companies in the most important industrial states and at commercial/business hubs. Together with the worldwide sales organisation these new platforms provide the best possible customer support. |

2004 the Seitenstetten plant is expanded by the construction of a new 5.000 sqm sized production hall with attached office building for the Inova – Lisec Technologiezentrum GmbH and the recently founded Condig - Lisec Network Center GmbH. Another large-scale investment is put into the insulating glass and glass processing plant in Hausmening. It is equipped with the latest state-of-engineering machines and plants and especially with the unique Lisec glass tempering furnace with its revolutionary „flat-bed“ toughening process. All over the World the Lisec Group of Companies employs meanwhile more than 1000 people. |

2006 sees another enlargement of the Seitenstetten plant by 7000 m2 after building the new assembling hall 4 and extending the common and office rooms. This creation of new production areas requires also a large scale investment in the latest manufacturing equipment to meet the worldwide exploding demand for the Lisec quality products. A lot of of new employees are educated to become qualified specialists - so the Lisec Maschinenbau GmbH employs more than 600 persons. Worldwide the Lisec staff exceeds 1600 people.

2007 Lisec receives the Austrian Innovation Award for its
revolutionary "flat-bed" glass tempering technology. This patented
innovative glass tempering technique was developed by the Lisec research and
development center in Seitenstetten for which the company provides every year
approx. 8 % of its turnover and which puts Lisec in the position of the
technology leader in the field. |
