Glass Processing

Flat glass processing is an important part of the glass production process. If it's all-glass constructions, point-fixed glazing, glass showcases or insulating glass with stepped edges - professional glass processing is a necessity.

In addition to standard processing, e.g. grinding and polishing, LiSEC offers a vertical water jet cutting machine for processing glass. Our wide range of transport and logistics systems makes it possible to combine the processing machines in customer-specific configurations, for semi-automated as well as fully automated production lines.

Glass Processing Possibilities

• Edge Processing (Seaming, Grinding, Polishing)
  With the LiSEC machines for glass processing, the sharp edges of cut float glass are either simply seamed (KGS) or ground (KGN) and then polished (KPO). Of course, almost all shapes are supported.
   
• Drill and countersink holes
  Flexible application of glass often requires drilling the glass. With LiSEC machines, professional glass processing including drill holes is easily possible. Even special processes, such as countersink or blind holes, are no problem for us.
   
• Edge and Corner Cut Outs
  LiSEC offers a range of glass processing equipment for the creation of corner, edge or interior cutouts, up to the vertical water jet cutting machine, as well as combinations of that equipment. So far, the main applications for glass cutouts (corner or edge) were showers, all-glass doors and all-glass walls. Increasingly popular applications are interior and exterior surface coverings, boosted by the rapidly expanding possibilities offered by printing and painting technology.


• Round Corners
  Two glass edges meeting at a point can be connected with a rounded corner during glass processing. Round corners provide a valuable solution when there is a risk of impact, e.g. for table corners.

All machines and production lines can be connected and linked with the corresponding production data. Feedback from machine or sensor data can be evaluated for predictive and preventive maintenance.
