2023

LiSEC opens new Engineering Center

On November 3, 2023, the new Engineering Center was opened at the LiSEC site in Seitenstetten. Around 140 additional workplaces can be found on an area of 2000 m2 and four floors.

On November 3, 2023, the new Engineering Center was opened at the LiSEC site in Seitenstetten. Around 140 additional workplaces can be found on an area of 2000 m2 and four floors. The new building was celebrated in style together with all employees, guests from politics, the Foundation's Executive Board and Supervisory Board as well as construction partners. Construction work began in April 2022, with numerous regional partners contributing to the project. "An expansion of the office workplaces in Seitenstetten was absolutely necessary following the merging of the Hausmening and Seitenstetten sites," says LiSEC CFO Oliver Pichler.

2021

Record revenue in the anniversary year

Besides its 60th anniversary, in 2021 LiSEC has still another reason to celebrate: Twice that year, the company received more than €30 million in monthly incoming orders.

In February 2021, LiSEC posted monthly incoming orders of more than €30 million – for the second time since the company's founding. With incoming orders of €34.5 million, the leading global innovator in technology for custom and complete solutions in flat glass processing and finishing set a new benchmark in August 2021, celebrating the highest monthly order intake in the company's history.

2019

LISEC HONOURED AS 2019 BEST FAMILY BUSINESS IN LOWER AUSTRIA

Family businesses are the drivers of the Austrian economy. For this reason, annual awards are presented for the “Best Family Business”. In 2019, the award ceremony took place on 14 May 2019 in Vienna, with over 200 guests invited. In addition to the winner of the “Best Family Business in Austria” award, the winners from each federal state are also being honoured. LiSEC won the “Best Family Business” award for the federal state of Lower Austria.

2016

LiSEC introduces new TPA line: FastLane

The FastLane concept makes the processing of thermoplastic spacers more efficient, more effective and faster – and also looking a hit thanks to the new LiSEC machine design. The new LiSEC line includes a unique feature. In order to increase the cycle time, the sheets which do not require application are transported past the application station. This saves not only time but also the investment costs for a second applicator head. The design of the TPA line allows only one operator to control the entire insulating glass line. The FastLane concept is best in insulating glass production.

New machine design

With the new TPA line, LiSEC introduces the new machine design. The new form language was first presented at the glasstec show and emphasizes the LiSEC claim: best in glass processing. Both production and assembly were considered in the development of the new design, e.g. the sheet metal size was reduced for easier handling.

LiSEC takes over Schraml Glastechnik GmbH

The integration of Schraml Glastechnik GmbH into the LiSEC Group will significantly expand the know-how in the processing area. The name Schraml, already familiar on the market, will continue on with the addendum "member of the LiSEC Group". The well-known product names topDRILL and topCLEAR will also remain unchanged.

LiSEC takes over Glastronic Hungary

The takeover of Glastronic will grow the LiSEC Group's used machinery business. Glastronic is exclusively responsible for the refurbishing and resale of used LiSEC machines. Depending on the customer's requirements, there are different refitting options.

Opening of the new service and training center

Opening of the new service and training center comprising a 1.200 m² machine hall, a 300 m² apprenticeship workshop and a 950 m² office and training wing at the LiSEC production site in Seitenstetten.

Opening Glass Forum

The Glass Forum, the new LiSEC Competence Center was opened in Hausmening on October 8th.

The Glass Forum, the new LiSEC Competence Center was opened in Hausmening on October 8th. This glass processing plant comprises the latest LiSEC technologies for every step in the processing of glass on a floor space of 10.000 m² – from the glass cutting and processing of edges to a sophisticated glass sheet logistics system and right up to the production of insulating glass and VSG (laminated safety glass) including tempering.

Founder and owner of the Lisec Group of Companies passed away

On August 17th, the founder and owner of the Lisec Group of Companies, Kommerzialrat Peter Lisec, passed away at the age of 73.

Order of merit for services rendered to the Republic of Austria

The minister of economics and labor Martin Bartenstein hands over the “Order of merit for services rendered to the Republic of Austria ” awarded by the Austrian President to Mr. Kommerzialrat Peter Lisec.

Innovation State Prize for LiSEC

LiSEC is awarded the Austrian Innovation State Prize for the revolutionary "flat-bed" tempering process.

2006

Expansion of the Seitenstetten site

Expansion of the Seitenstetten site by 7000 m² by the addition of the assembly hall 4 as well as the expansion of the common wing and office rooms.

Construction of a new large production hall

Construction of a 5.000 m² large production hall including office building for the division innovation in Seitenstetten.

The machinery of the glass processing plant in Hausmening is equipped with state-of-the-art machines and plants. In doing so, the focus is on the LiSEC tempering plant with the „flat-bed“ process. Systematic expansion of the LiSEC Group, so far consisting of four companies, by the foundation of own branch establishments in the most important industrial countries and at locations strategically favorable in terms of business.

The research and development department moves

The research and development department and its highly qualified specialists for design engineering and electronics moves to the Seitenstetten plant and is at the same time converted into the company Inova - LiSEC Technologiezentrum GmbH.

Software department is converted into a subsidiary

The software department so far integrated in the company is converted into a subsidiary, the LiSEC Software GmbH.

Foundation of the LiSEC Maschinenbau (machine engineering) GmbH in Seitenstetten where more than 300 employees manufacture the entire machinery portfolio on a floor area of 27.000 m².

Peter Lisec is awarded the title "Kommerzialrat"

Peter Lisec is awarded the title "Kommerzialrat" for his achievements and his forward-looking business strategy.

Peter Lisec is awarded the title "Kommerzialrat" for his achievements and his forward-looking business strategy. Due to the continuous expansion of the product portfolio, LiSEC is turning into the only supplier who is able to deliver entire plants and is thus becoming the worldwide market leader. The export rate reaches 98% and the company has meanwhile approx. 450 employees.

LiSEC has already 150 employees

LiSEC has already 150 employees who, apart from the production of insulating glass, are already producing machines for the automatic manufacturing of this insulating glass on a larger scale.

40 employees

40 employees, which is very modest compared to today’s staff, are engaged in the production of insulating glass as well as with the production of machines for the manufacturing of insulating glass which have then already found international customers.

Own system with an own trademark

The technology of the relatively new product "insulting glass" has advanced so far that an own system with an own trademark can be introduced and patented.

Start of the systematic production of insulating glass

Start of the systematic production of insulating glass. In this phase, the company already manufactured machines and facilities for the production of the described products according to its own know-how in a small scale. This was the nucleus for today’s state-of-the-art machine engineering.

Foundation of the Glastechnische Industrie PETER LISEC by Mr. Peter Lisec as a one-man business. Even then, the master craftsman’s shop worked according to own ideas. The scale of operations was mainly focused on the shaping and processing of acrylic sheets, the production of mirrors as well as on the cutting of glass. The company was continuously expanded.
