Elias Leichtfried – Product Manager Glass Processing
I see myself as the link between product development and sales. In our department, we plan new developments and support their implementation right through to market launch. I then train my colleagues in sales on the new products. Creativity, enthusiasm and a good sense of customer needs are particularly important for this task.
My career at LiSEC
I started as a project engineer in product management, where I spent around 1.5 years getting to know the product from the ground up. I was then given the opportunity to expand my knowledge as a development engineer in engineering. After more than a year in this position, an interesting position in product management became available and I decided to apply internally. Since mid-2021, I have been working as a product manager for the areas of ‘processing, laminating and lasering’.
What I like about my job:
There is no such thing as a typical working day; every day is different. I can also organise my work myself: whether I support the sales department on business trips, prepare sales documents or coordinate with the development team. I decide on the workflow myself, depending on the priorities.
What motivates me:
When I receive positive feedback on new developments, especially from customers or sales. And when we achieve our development goals together as a team.
What I would particularly like to highlight at LiSEC:
The helpfulness – regardless of age. You always receive support and your questions or concerns are never dismissed. This family-like environment is very valuable and helps with various challenges.
My personal highlight at LiSEC:
glasstec (trade fair for the glass industry) 2022 in Düsseldorf. I was able to present the new KSD (edge grinding machine) live to customers right at the trade fair, which was, so to speak, the launch of this machine directly at the trade fair.
