The premium product made in Germany enables the reliable thermal separation of insulated glazing. This conserves valuable energy resources. The bent spacer frames are positioned between the glass sheets, filled with adsorbent and permanently sealed using sealing compound. This insulates the space between the sheets at the edge bond. In this way, neither gas can escape nor moisture enter, and heat cannot escape to the outside in winter or flow into the building in summer.
Warm edge: Relieves the condensation problem
Thermix® spacers are made of high-performance plastic with 700 times less conductivity than aluminum , and a metallic diffusion barrier in high-grade stainless steel. The Thermix® effect:
Loss of heat at the glass edge is drastically reduced, the window edge on the room side remains warmer: The glass has what is called a “warm edge”.
The risk of condensation and mould formation in those edge area of the window are minimized, preventing a downdraught of cold air.
