Label

Label is a central LiSEC software solution for creating, managing and outputting production labels. The application enables flexible label design using text, barcodes, images and production data, as well as automated selection and output of the appropriate layout based on defined rules. This standardises, accelerates and simplifies labelling processes.

How is Label structured?

Label consists of several key components:

• Label editor for designing label layouts
• Layout management for standard and customer-specific labels
• Decision Tree for automatically selecting the appropriate label
• Print control for managing printers, filters and printing rules
• Barcode and data field management for production-relevant information
• Central data storage in GPS.prod, allowing all clients to use the same configurations and decision trees

How does Label work?

1. Production or order data is transferred to Label from connected systems such as GPS.prod, GPS.mon, LIS.linemanagement or GPS.autofab.
2. A defined Decision Tree analyses the available information (e.g. customer, product, production status or order type).
3. The appropriate label layout is selected automatically.
4. The required content, such as text, barcodes, images or production data, is inserted.
5. Print control sends the label to the defined printer or alternatively creates a PDF file.
6. Changes to layouts or decision trees are automatically available to all connected clients after a restart.
