Flexible Spacer Application
The FSA-A[EE] applies flexible spacer tapes fully automatically to glass sheets for insulating glass production. The machine processes SuperSpacer spacers with plastic film as protection and has an air-conditioned two-roll magazine. Automatic glass measurement, precise glass transport and the servo-driven application unit ensure accurate positioning of the spacer material. Unlike the FSA-A, the FSA-A[EE] does not have a butyl application unit and is designed exclusively for processing SuperSpacer spacers; therefore, T-Spacers cannot be processed.
The machine consists of a vertical transport wall with separate drive zones and a travelling suction beam for precise glass transport. The glass sheets are measured by sensors in the infeed section.
The servo-driven application head is mounted on a vertical guide beam and processes the spacer material from an air-conditioned material box for two material rolls. The machine has an integrated extraction unit for removing protective films and punching waste.
After the cover sheet has passed through, the following glass sheet is moved into position and fixed by means of vacuum suction cups. During this process, the glass thickness, height and length of the glass sheet are measured automatically.
The glass sheet is then transported to the application position. The application head applies the flexible spacer material along the edge of the glass. The corners are precisely punched out by an adjustable punching unit. Once application is complete, the glass sheet is automatically transferred to the downstream station.
The FSA-A[EE] is suitable for insulating glass manufacturers who want to process flexible spacer tapes based on SuperSpacer material automatically. The machine is particularly suitable for production operations with standardised spacer types and frequently changing glass formats.
Precise corner formation
Two blades that can be adjusted at an angle to one another punch out the corner pieces exactly. This creates clean, reproducible corners and precise guidance of the spacer along the edge of the glass.
Central extraction unit
Protective films and punching waste are extracted directly at the point of origin and disposed of in a controlled manner. This ensures a clean working environment and reduces manual intervention during ongoing production operation.
Modular magazine
The new spacer magazine has a modular design and can be flexibly adapted to the individual requirements of the customer. By subsequently adding further modules, the magazine capacity can be easily expanded at any time.
