Flat Glass Cutting
The automatic glass cutting machine of the DSC-A-RS series combines the latest drive technology of the DSC-A series with decades of LiSEC knowledge using the patented “RS-Technology – Low-E deletion and cutting at the same time”. A newly engineered table structure with a new cutting bridge and RS cutting head improve the stability and precision of the Low-E deletion and cutting process. The powerful RS Low-E deletion system with grinding wheel is designed for all common types of special coatings. It is combined with a strong vacuum system for all common types of special coatings. Together, they ensure a residue-free, fast and homogeneous Low-E deletion and cutting result. All of this is achieved in a single process at speeds of up to 160 m/min.
The DSC-A-RS consists of a horizontal cutting table, equipped with conveyor belt, to combine this system with automatic feeding.
The proportion of protective solar or thermal insulation coatings in insulating glass is increasing, while coating systems are becoming more complex to enable more energy-efficient façade- designs.
Thanks to the new LiSEC RS edge deletion technology, the DSC-A-RS processes silver thermal protection coatings (single to triple fold silver) quickly and efficiently in a single step. Low-E deletion and cutting can be performed simultaneously, while protective solar coatings and coating systems with protective layers (TPF or Easypro) are handled in separate process steps – first Low-E deletion, then cutting. As coating systems continue to become more complex, the DSC-A-RS is designed to meet the highest production demands.
The glass-cutting table features LiSEC direct cutting technology and a gantry drive on the X-axis, thereby assuring precision of +/- 0.20 mm. Operation is even easier thanks to automatic cutting pressure control and the new grinding pressure control. Different grinding and cutting pressures are automatically set, depending on the coating and the glass thickness. Furthermore, an automatic central lubrication system is integrated for the X- and Y- axis to reduce maintenance and ensure highest availability.
Monitoring systems for the cutting oil and cutting wheel track consumption and provide early indications for timely replacement. Glass sheets are sent in automatically via the conveyor belt while glass positioning aids handle precise alignment .
