Vertical fully-automatic grinding and polishing machine with fast double heads
This edge grinding machine for flat glass grinds (precision grinding – fine grinding) and/or polishes glass sheets fully automatically, flexibly, and fast.
What is the machine used for?
The use of peripheral wheels allows processing – beside rectangles – also a wide variety of shapes as standard. Production of polished edges is possible without any tool change, since all required tools are available in the tool holder. Integrating an automatic tool changer is an easy way to achieve a flexible production. This machine is also part of the SplitFin processing solution.
What ensures fast cycle times?
This processing machine from LiSEC convinces with fast cycle times, which are achieved through consequent process optimisation. To satisfy the requirements of very short cycle times, an optional second grinding head and second grinding spindle can be integrated.
What are the advantages of a second grinding head?
The LiSEC EPS can be ordered with one or two grinding heads. The two grinding head option allows parallel processing of the top and bottom edge of the glass sheet. On request, the tool change can be automated.
Which tasks are performed by the tool management?
The sophisticated tool management offers numerous advantages, for example the automatic correction of polishing wheel wear, or the reprofiling and measuring of tools – if possible during production-free periods.

Another feature of this system, which has been redesigned from the ground up, is the optimised accessibility for service and maintenance. Such tasks can now be completed much faster.
