The VHW-F washing and drying system offers the option of starting with a washing machine for minimum requirements and gradually modifying and upgrading this as requirements develop and increase. It is not only the flexible expandability of this system, but also the redesign of the functional and technical equipment that bring key advantages for every flat glass processor.
How is the VHW-F configured?
The VHW-F is equipped with a glass thickness measurement system on the inlet side. Glass transport is realised by means of rollers. There are two large doors on the front side to facilitate maintenance. Division of the washing zones into a pre-washing zone and main washing station delivers optimum washing results. Once the washing process is complete, the sheet is conveyed through a drying zone. It is optionally possible to use a coating detection system to ensure process reliability.
How does the automatic washing machine work?
The glass sheet enters the VHW-F and passes through the individual washing zones and the drying zone. The most suitable brushes are selected for the respective type of glass or coating. The water is prepared by the system's own water treatment plant. This ensures that no limescale residues remain on the sheets.

What advantages does the VHW-F offer?
The VHW-F offers many advantages. With its precise design and dedicated water treatment system, the VHW-F achieves flawless washing results. Maintenance tasks and cleaning work are performed with ease thanks to the intelligent design, whilst the infinitely adjustable brushes - which adapt to the glass thickness - ensure optimum contact together with minimal wear of the brushes. The brush speed is regulated to perform gentle washing based on the automatic detection of the glass coating. These features make the VHW-F a perfect washing machine for all areas of the flat glass industry.
Depending on customer requirements, up to 4 pairs of brushes (= 8 brushes) are used in the washing process to achieve high-quality cleaning and washing results, as well as the corresponding required cycle times. The last washing zone, which is operated with clean water, ensures that the glass surface is cleaned almost entirely residue-free. A clean water treatment and circulation system is optionally available. The fast and efficient drying process with the use of a flow-optimised blower air supply also facilitates optimum and reliable drying of the glass sheets.
The fusion of the pre-washing and main washing stations, which were previously managed as individual modules, into an optimised, single-unit and shortened compact washing machine model facilitates a much shorter machine integration time.
