The rack shuttle system with hybrid glass storage combines the advantages of mobile glass storage racks with a large loading volume with the flexibility of a rack shuttle system. The system enables uninterrupted reloading, which is ideal for applications with high throughput, short cycle times and a small variety of glass types. This ensures seamless and efficient operation.

The rack shuttle system consists of a dedicated slot rack for glass storage racks and a reloading position.
How does the rack shuttle system work?
As soon as an order is entered into the glass cutting system control system, the glass transport shuttle delivers the required glass package to the unloading point. The mobile glass storage rack is taken from the slot rack and transported to the unloading station. Here, the glass unloading table removes the required number of raw glass lites sheets. The glass storage rack is then either automatically transported back to the stock store or stored temporarily at an available unloading station.
When a glass package reaches stock level ZERO, the glass storage rack can be brought to the loading station, where the system operator can reload it without interrupting operation. This ensures maximum output with minimal downtime. After filling, the glass package is returned to the slot rack.
