Robot Handling
Robot-assisted loading and unloading of the tempering bed fully automates stationary sorting. The LiSEC system ensures optimum use of the tempering bed, processes glass sheets with cut-outs fully automatically and minimises suction cup marks. The compact system solution ensures a stable production process and consistent product quality.
The system consists of an industrial robot and a vacuum suction gripper. Combined with an extensive software package, it enables optimum use of the tempering bed and automatic loading and unloading. Depending on requirements, the robot can optionally travel on a linear axis.
Robot-assisted loading of the tempering bed works as follows:
The RHH-B is suitable for companies with a tempering furnace that want to automate production and optimise use of the tempering bed. The system is suitable both for existing customers with sorting systems and for series production, and it significantly reduces the need for manual intervention.
The RHH-B automates the loading and unloading of tempering furnaces, ensuring a stable and efficient production process. Free positioning allows the glass sheets to be aligned optimally to meet the requirements of the downstream tempering system. Automatic calculation of tempering bed loading makes the best possible use of furnace capacity and supports consistently high product quality. At the same time, the system reduces the need for manual intervention. Its compact design requires little floor space, while functions such as rotating glass sheets directly on the robot provide additional flexibility in the production process.

Automatic calculation of the tempering bed
The tempering bed is calculated in GPS.autofab on the basis of the individually adjustable parameters and the sheets are then positioned on the tempering bed. This allows for consistent quality because occupancy is always based on the same parameters.
Reduction of suction cup marks
A controlled suction and discharge process keeps suction marks to an absolute minimum compared to a conventional suction unit.
Adjustment to sheet size and shape
Depending on the glass sheet size, the system automatically selects either “Pick and Place” or “Drag and Drop” mode.
“Pick and Place”: Small glass sheets are lifted into the specified position.
“Drag and Drop”: Large glass sheets are moved into the specified position over the air cushion.
In addition, only the vacuum suction cups required to handle the respective glass sheet contour are activated.
