The LSP-A consists of a compact system with a movable laser head. It can be used for surface processing, and for the targeted edge deletion of glass. The system is modular by design and is available in a range of different sizes and configurations to satisfy various requirements.
The LSP-A utilises a variety of laser technologies, including CO2 lasers for surface processing and NIR solid-state lasers for the edge deletion and thin-film texturing of coated flat glass. In the case of surface processing, the laser beam penetrates the glass slightly and specifically alters the glass texture on the surface, in order to produce precise and permanent markings. During the edge deletion process, the glass coating is removed in a targeted manner using laser radiation, leaving the underlying glass completely undamaged. Thanks to the system, it is possible to process glass without the use of ink, granulate or chemicals.
