Thermoplastic Spacer
The LiSEC TPA-B applies thermoplastic spacer material fully automatically to glass sheets for insulating glass production. The material is metered directly at the application head by means of a gear pump. Different spacer widths can be processed through the stepless adjustment of the nozzle width. The machine is integrated into LIS.linemanagement and enables precise material application along the entire edge of the glass.
The TPA-B consists of a vertical transport wall with an integrated suction unit and support rollers for positioning the glass sheets. Transport is carried out via transport belts with separate drive zones.
The application head is arranged on a vertical guide beam in front of the machine. The material is conveyed via a heated hose, while metering is carried out directly at the application head by means of a gear pump. The nozzle can be rotated through 360° and has stepless width adjustment for adaptation to different interpane spaces.
The production data are transmitted to the machine by the higher-level production control system. After the cover sheet has passed through, the glass sheet to be coated is picked up by means of a vacuum suction cup and moved to the starting position.
An NC-controlled axis system controls the movements of the application head. The thermoplastic material is metered exactly on the basis of the production data and applied along the edge of the glass. The two material ends are joined at the lower edge of the insulating glass unit by a downstream LiSEC RTV-A-TJ, thereby ensuring a seamless connection optimised for cycle time.
The TPA-B is suitable for insulating glass manufacturers who want to process thermoplastic spacer systems automatically. The machine is designed in particular for production lines with a high degree of automation and enables the processing of different spacer widths within a defined application range.
Precise metering by means of a gear pump
Metering is carried out directly at the application head by means of a gear pump. This achieves constant material delivery and reproducible application quality.
Flexible spacer widths
The stepless nozzle width adjustment enables adaptation to different spacer widths and interpane spaces within the approved processing range.
360° application head
The rotating nozzle enables precise path guidance along the entire edge of the glass and supports the processing of different unit geometries.
Seamless connection of the spacer
In combination with the downstream LiSEC RTV-A-TJ, the start and end of the thermoplastic spacer are connected automatically. This creates a continuous spacer contour without interruption.
