Internal Logistics & Sorting
Cockpit for automated robot-based loading and unloading of a machine network using glass loading racks. lis.logisticscockpit 4 receives logistics jobs with the production sequence from the higher-level system, guides the operator through rack changes, displays rack stations and buffers in real time and prepares machine data for robots, the cork pad applicator and shapes.
lis.logisticscockpit 4 comprises several central components:
A higher-level system (e.g. GPS.prod) sends the logistics jobs including the production sequence. lis.logisticscockpit 4 processes them in a structured job list and instructs the operator to retrieve the correct rack and position it at the planned station. Rack registration is supported by a barcode scanner.
Once registered, the loading or unloading process starts, either manually or using a LiSEC loading or unloading robot. For the robot, the software automatically generates the machine jobs, including suction-cup positioning and, optionally, the cork pad matrix and shape data. The current loading status of each rack is shown graphically and in the job list; upcoming rack changes are announced in good time.
Breakages and missing items are recorded directly in the cockpit. A predefined set of rules guides the operator back to normal operation. Affected racks are re-optimised, and ready and remake messages are sent to the higher-level system. In IG sorting systems, the software also manages the insulating glass buffer (IGB) and unloading in the correct dispatch sequence.
lis.logisticscockpit 4 is suitable for:
lis.logisticscockpit 4 keeps the line running without the need for manual glass handling. Every logistics job is shown in a clear list directly at the line. Because the job data comes automatically from the production planning system, input errors are eliminated and new jobs start faster. The operator can see the status of all rack stations and buffers at all times and receives visual guidance during rack changes. Shapes and mixed rack loads are handled reliably. Ready and remake messages are automatically returned to the higher-level system. The result is fewer errors, less rework and higher output per shift, with machine, robot and software from a single source.
Rack stations in real time with visual guidance
All rack stations are displayed in real time. The visual guidance clearly shows where a sheet is located or should be placed on the rack. Upcoming rack changes are announced in good time so that the line can continue without interruption.
IG sorting buffer management
In IG sorting systems, lis.logisticscockpit 4 manages the insulating glass buffer (IGB): Buffer occupancy and status are visible at all times, unloading takes place in the correct dispatch sequence, and the unloading sequence is re-optimised in the event of breakage or missing items.
