System for the break down and removal of float glass remnants

The LiSEC GSA-CF system breaks down float glass remnants and transports them into a waste glass container, ensuring a virtually uninterrupted production process. In contrast to the GSA-CL, which is designed for laminated glass remnants, the GSA-CF is specifically designed for the disposal of float glass remnants.

 

How is the GSA-CF configured?

The system consists of a high-strength and particularly durable wave belt conveyor made of metal, a glass breaker ascending conveyor belt and a discharge unit. The glass remnants fall onto the flat conveyor, are broken down using a star roller and transported to the ascending conveyor belt and from there into the container for broken glass with level monitoring.

 

How does the GSA-CF work?

The broken down float glass remnants fall from the breakout station onto a conveyor belt below. This high-strength metal conveyor belt transports the glass shards to a slowly rotating star roller, which breaks down the shards with little noise and almost no dust. The broken down shards are brought to a collection container with level monitoring, which is located in a sound-insulated housing and prevents the surrounding system components from being contaminated by glass dust.

 

Who is the GSA-CF suitable for?

The system is ideal for companies processing float glass waste up to a thickness of 19 mm and up to a width of 300 mm. The processable length corresponds to the maximum glass length on the float glass cutting table.

 

What advantages does the system offer?

The waste glass containers can be easily replaced or emptied. This ensures a smooth work procedure. Automated disposal of glass waste reduces manual effort, allowing employees to focus on more important tasks and reducing labour costs. In addition, smaller pieces of glass require less storage space, allowing better use of production space. The automated system also increases safety as less manual handling of glass remnants is required.
