Circular Economy
The IGD-A/manual is a system that enables the simple cutting of insulating glass. It consists of a specially developed oscillating blade and a tool attachment for a FEIN cordless MultiMaster AMM 700 1.7Q (cordless device) or FEINMultimaster MM700 1.7Q (device with mains connection).
The maximum cutting depth is set using a quick-release clamp. After plunging the blade between the glass and the spacer, the tool can be moved easily along the glass edge thanks to the guide rollers. The insulating glass unit is cut effortlessly using the special oscillating blade, which, together with the FEINFEIN Multimaster device, ensures a clean cut without damaging the visible glass surface. For cutting flexible spacer systems, the height of the cut can be determined by additional vertical guide rollers.
The IGD-A/manual can be used by all companies that manufacture insulating glass. It is suitable for cutting new insulating glass, repairing existing insulating glass or reworking complex façade insulating glass.
The IGD-A/manual offers numerous advantages that make it an ideal solution for cutting insulating glass. The system enables the safe and straightforward dismantling of insulating glass units, which is particularly advantageous for inexperienced employees. Operation is easy and requires little effort, making the work less strenuous. Furthermore, the specially developed oscillating blade together with the FEIN Multimaster MM700 1.7Q ensures a clean cut without damaging the visible glass surfaces.
Can be used fully automatically with a robot arm
The system is also available as a fully automatic solution. With this version, the cutter is moved by a robot arm and is positioned in front of a vertical glass transport system, which enables automated separation. The system separates the edges of double and triple glazing units in turn. Thanks to a special glass detection system, cutting takes place precisely along the edge. The system is designed such that it can process glass sizes from 500 x 500 mm. The maximum dimension is only limited by the reach of the robot or the glass transport length.
