Sorting Stationary
The slot storage system for remnant plates is a space-saving, vertical storage solution for several cutting systems. It offers increased storage capacity through multiple loadable slots and automatic remnant plate management, which reduces glass remnants and material costs. The robust design is easy to clean and can be individually adapted to production requirements.
A remnant plate storage system requires the following machines:
Glass loading station (ATL)
The glass loading station is automatically loaded by the gantry loading system. This is followed by the feeding of a cutting system. Remnant plates that arise during glass cutting are transported back to the glass loading station. This then transports the raw glass sheet with a minimum length of 1500 mm to the remnant plate storage.
Storage system for remnant plates
The storage system is a vertically arranged remnant plate storage system with several slots that can be loaded multiple times to increase storage capacity. It is designed for several cutting systems. A roller carrier running under the slots transports the plates to the slots.
Cutting systems
Remnant plates can occur during both float glass and laminated glass cutting. The remnant plates are transported back to the glass loading station.
The cutting system requests the return transport of remnant plates via the stock management software. This schedules the process without cycle time losses, with the software automatically selecting the shortest transport route. The remnant plate data is stored in a database and can be viewed either manually or automatically.
The storage system is ideal for companies who operate several cutting systems and need to handle glass remnants efficiently. It is particularly suitable for glass manufacturers and processors who want to save space and reduce material costs by optimising their use of remnant plates.
Multiple loading of the slots increases storage capacity
In the remnant plate storage system, it is possible to place several remnant plates in each individual slot. This increases storage capacity.
Automatic remnant plate management for reducing glass remnants and material costs
Remnant plates of a raw glass sheet have a minimum length of 1500 mm. The automatic remnant plate management reduces residual glass cuts and saves material costs.
