Glass Loading System
The LiSEC SLR side loader is a system for removing large-format glass sheets from automatically movable rack storage systems (LiSEC LBR).
An SLR side loader system is often combined with an LBR rack storage system.
SLR Side Loader
The side loader is a pick-up station with a telescopic arm. The machine can travel on one or both sides and removes glass sheets from the rack storage system fully automatically. It is floor-mounted, requires no crane runway and offers simple operation and low maintenance requirements.
LBR Rack Storage System
The LBR is an automatic rack storage system for stock glass formats. The LiSEC storage system features a highly space-saving arrangement of L-racks on heavy-duty support rails. With the same footprint, it can provide up to 30% more storage area than a conventional storage system with storage racks. It can also increase the number of glass types stored by up to 100%.
The pick-up station travels automatically to the selected storage slot while moving the table top into a vertical position. At the same time, the rack for the selected glass type opens. Once in position, the telescopic loading arm enters the rack while sensors determine the distance to the glass surface. The arm then moves to the pick-up position, grips the glass using vacuum suction cups and separates it from the glass stack. The glass is transported on the SLR to the transfer station while the table top tilts into a horizontal position. The stock glass sheet is then transported automatically to the downstream system.
The floor-mounted side loader system is suitable for companies that want to avoid the crane runway normally required. It can therefore be used in a wide range of building layouts. The rack storage system is particularly suitable where many glass types must be stored in limited space.
The SLR side loader with rack storage system combines high storage capacity with an extremely compact system layout. The rack storage system also accommodates a large number of different glass types, providing maximum production flexibility. Its modular design allows customer-specific configuration and expansion as required. The floor-mounted version without a crane runway also reduces structural work and provides an economical solution for automatic glass loading.
